A
novel approach to care
Dr. Johnson's practice is a "micro-practice." She
handles virtually all aspects of the practice herself. We get to
know each other better, starting with the first phone call.
Informed,
collaborative care
With Dr. Johnson's training and experience, great
medical care is a given.
What's more, Dr. Johnson's patients value their
warm, personal relationship with her. She spends the time it takes
to get a real understanding of her patients, their lives, and the
things that affect their well-being. Doctor and patient work as a

About Adolescent Medicine
Adolescent medicine is a recognized subspecialty of
pediatrics, internal medicine, and family practice. To become
certified as a subspecialist, doctors take several more years of
advanced training and pass a corresponding examination. The
American
Board of Pediatrics has certified Dr. Johnson in both the specialty
of pediatrics and in the adolescent medicine subspecialty.
Some doctors have a particular interest in taking
care of adolescents, but only about 400 nationally -- and a few in
Orange County -- are actually board certified in
Adolescent Medicine. The American
Board of Medical Specialties website lets you check to see if a
"specialist" in adolescent medicine is actually board certified.
